Seekers Class Brunch May 2019

Adult Sunday School Offerings
Learning for Life, Growing in Faith, Spreading the Light

The following classes meet most Sundays from 9:10 to 10 a.m. with the exception of the summer. Feel free to try one or all of the classes – they lend themselves to dropping in and out as your schedule allows!

The Gleaners Class meets in the Library Conference Room in Satterlee Hall and is also open to adults of all ages. This ever-growing class is facilitated by Agnes Martin and examines the weekly Lectionary readings. Most Sundays you will find coffee and something yummy to eat! (Note: During the summer, the class meets from 9 to 10 a.m.)

Parents in Community meets in Dining Room C of the Parish and Community Life Center
Mark your calendars now for our Kick-off Brunch on Sunday, August 18. This class is for people with children living in the home. Members explore a variety of topics that have included ParentingThe Soul of a Child, and Money and Emotions. Regular fellowship times are also incorporated in to this class.

The Seekers Class meets in Dining Room A in the Parish and Community Life Center
The Seekers class was created in the Fall of 2018 and averaged over 40 people each week. During its first year, the Seekers were led by Dr. Anne Rodrick, Associate Professor of History at Wofford College and Advent member. Anne helped the class examine the historical changes within the Anglican church and how the changes affect our own faith practices today. The class will not meet in the summer and will resume class on 9/8/19. For the Fall Seekers schedule, please click here.

Welcome to Sunday! meets in Dining Room B of the Parish and Community Life Center.
This class focuses on the traditions and practices of The Episcopal Church including such topics as: Anglican Spiritual Traditions, Church Music and The Hymnal 1982, Seasons of the Church Year, The Book of Common Prayer, etc. The format is informal and includes both teaching and discussion in a seminar approach. The weekly classes are designed to accommodate drop-ins. It’s a great place to dig deeper into the hows and whys of being an Episcopalian.

Please monitor our publications, the Parish Paper and the Bell Ringer, for updates about class offerings and schedule changes.
