Ned grew up in Virginia
and Maryland.
He received his B.A. in Religion and Philosophy from Roanoke College (R.C.) in
1988. It was at R.C. that he met his wife Ellen, and had his first inclination
of being called to the ordained ministry. After graduation he lived in Washington, D.C.
serving with the Cathedral Volunteer Service Community program of the National
Cathedral. In 1989, he went back to R.C. and worked as the Assistant to the
Chaplain until 1997. While working at his alma mater, Ned earned his Master of
Social Work from VirginiaCommonwealthUniversity.
In 1993, Ned and Ellen were married. They moved to New
York City in 1997, where Ned
graduated with a Master of Divinity from The General Theological Seminary in
2001. After seminary, Ned and Ellen moved to Staunton, VA
where Ned served for three years as the Associate Rector at TrinityChurch,
and where he was ordained to the priesthood just three days after 9/11. In, October,
2004, they moved to Louisville, KY,
where Ned served as the Rector of Calvary Episcopal Church until July 2009. He
became the 18th Rector of The Episcopal Church of the Advent on August 1, 2009.
He, Ellen, and their four children (Halstead, William, Lou Lou, and Evelyn)
enjoy reading, playing and spending time with family and friends.

Stephen
Bolle served churches in New York City, Cincinnati, Long
Island, Connecticut and Westchester
County, NY, before
coming to South Carolina last
year. After a time as Interim Rector of ChristChurch, Greenville, he
became Priest Associate on November 1, 2009.
Sue Perrinis
a native of the Washington, DC Metropolitan area arriving in South Carolina via North
Dakota. As
Parish Missioner for the Advent, she works with "those who are unable
to be with us in this place" by regularly visiting these
Parishioners. As Deacon assigned to the Advent, Sue works with those
involved with Outreach Ministries as the Church determines how it
must respond to the needs and concerns of the world.
Ministry away from the diocese has
taken her to South
Dakota, where she
served as Lay Missioner on the Cheyenne River Sioux Indian Reservation.
Traveling throughout the Reservation, to the 10 mission
churches, she met regularly for Gospel-based Discipleship.
In
addition, Sue is a graduate of the Shalem Institute for Spiritual
Formation and is an active Spiritual Director, Retreat and Workshop
Leader as founder and Director of Sacred Surroundings
- creating sacred spaces in a secular world. She
has been involved as an EFM Mentor for over 10 years and continues to meet
monthly with those groups desiring to continue their spiritual journeys as
a group.
