Adventure Kingdom is the heartbeat of the Sunday Christian Formation Hour. Rotation Learning allows children to learn through various styles. Some children best relate to an art project that correlates with a particular Bible story. Others may prefer acting out the story, while still others enjoy a fund, challenging game or project to increase their Bible skills and knowledge of the Episcopal Church. Special areas have been created in the Adventure Kingdom to help the children have exciting learning experiences.
Here is an example of how a Sunday morning works. The Adventure Kingdom consists of a number of destinations. Groups of similar age level go to a different adventure each week during a learning rotation, with rotations usally lasting about four weeks. Each rotation presents a single theme with each destination using a unique learning approach. Every adventure is staffed by one or more ADVENTURE LEADERS and the group'sSHEPHERD . The SHEPHERD stays with the group throughout the learning rotation. The Rotation Learning format facilitates children's learning and retaining information about the Bible, worship, prayer and the Episcopal Church.
