Acolytes - Youth, after having been confirmed, assist the Celebrant with the services. They serve as crucifers, torch bearers and servers at the altar.
Food Offering and Oblation Bearers - Children serve each week at the 10:30am service in bringing the food offering and oblations to the altar.
Lay Readers - Lay adult members participate in worship at services by reading lessons and prayers. Only those licensed by the Bishop of the Diocese may serve as Lay Readers, authorized to lead certain services and preach in local mission churches.
Chalice Bearers - Lay adult members assist the clergy by administering the wine during the Eucharist. These people are licensed by the Bishop and serve under his or her authority.
Altar Guild - The Altar Guild is responsible for the furnishings of the Sanctuary and the preparation of the Sanctuary for all services. Teams of three or four members work on a rotating basis. Training is provided for those who wish to participate in this service.
Ushers - Lay adult members who assist with seating and helping with flow of congregation during Eucharist.
Greeters - Lay members of the Advent who provide a welcome smile, greeting, and informaiton to new people visiting our church while also welcoming our own members.
