The teacher/child ratio for the Toddler class is 1:5.  The Episcopal Church policy states that there are to be two staff members at all times regardless of the number of children.  

Children are eligible for enrollment if they are one year old on or before September 1st.  All children must have a completed set of registration forms and a current South Carolina Certificate of Immunization.  Parents must read and sign an acknowledgement form stating understanding of the ACC policies as declared in the ACC Parents' Handbook.  It is the parents' responsibility to keep all information up to date.

The staff of the Advent Children's Center strives to provide a safe, loving, caring, accepting and nurturing environment where children are able to be themselves and grow  The Episcopal Church of the Advent provides a facility that is up to date, clean, pleasant and safe.

The teachers offer the children opportunities to develop and learn by inviting them to look, listen, touch, communicate and discover.  The teachers provide an environment that is safe, provides the freedom to explore and offers toys that are interesting and can be manipulated.  The room arrangement offers areas for many different activities.  The teachers use a unit approach to introduce basic concepts.  The units include literature, art activities, music, gross and fine motor activities.
